This is intruductory course into the safe rigging and slinging operations in the offshore environment.
This course presents an immersive training module tailored for offshore professionals, focusing on the stipulations for personnel qualifications and organizational policies concerning lifting and rigging activities. Primarily catered to Riggers, it also offers invaluable insights for Supervisors formulating rudimentary rigging strategies, as well as Tradesmen and Technicians confronted with routine lifting challenges. The paramount objective of this course is to mitigate commonplace mechanical handling issues. Upon completion, participants will be adept at executing and overseeing safe rigging and slinging operations, fully aligned with the industry's rigorous safety standards.
Target Audience
Designed to suit personnel who have previous marine experience as Riggers, Tradesmen/Technician, deck supervisors, etc.

The content of this course will give the trainees understanding and basic knowledge about offshore rigging/slinging, lifting operations and rigging equipment:
- Rigging procedure and precautions
- Work with lifting plan
- Lifting procedures and safety procedures
- Material used in wire rope slings
- Correct use and care of lifting equipment and accessories
- Good and bad rigging practice
- Responsibilities of a rigger/slinger
- Safe working loads
To deliver knowledge and develop competence of rigging principles, hazards and risks while providing the opportunity to develop required skills for rigging and slinging.
Participants must have a COC, seaman's book, valid medical certificate
Theoretical and practical assessments.
