DPO Examination and Certification (Acc. DNV Approach)
Lerus Examination Centre provides DPO examination and certification of DP Operators according to the DNV Standard DNV-ST-0023.
DNV-ST-0023 is the industry-wide recognized Competence Standard for Dynamic Positioning Operators. The standard aims to cover the tasks performed by a dynamic positioning operator onboard vessels, using various dynamic positioning (DP) models and systems and identify a base set of competencies.
Examination consists of theoretical and practical assessments. The assessment is strictly controlled in order to make sure that candidate satisfies all requirements and worth to receive DPO certificate.
Successful candidates will receive DPO Certificate which is recognized by the most of OIL MAJORS.

(*) To apply for the DNV DPO exam, candidate must have 270 hours of DP experience and have appropriate skills for manual ship handling with common type of propulsion.
